Lodge & Train

Our Lodge & Train program offers a quiet, focused training retreat nestled on our small farm at the foothills of Blue Mountain in Eastern, Pennsylvania. Here, dogs live in a peaceful, structured environment designed to reduce stress and encourage learning. Whether your pup needs to build confidence, brush up on manners, or work through more complex behavior challenges, they’ll receive individualized support to help them reach the goals you set for them.

What’s Included

In-Home Boarding: Dogs stay within our home here on the farm, where they receive personalized attention, care, and a comfy spot to crash. Dogs must be crate trained.

Customized Training: Lodge & Train dogs receive a minimum of three focused training sessions each day, tailored to their needs and your specific goals. But training doesn’t stop when the session ends. Throughout their stay, dogs also experience passive training — the everyday moments that shape real-world behavior. From waiting patiently at doorways to learning to look for permission, and lots of teachable moments in between, these little lessons are just as important. This immersive approach allows us to get the reps in and do the heavy lifting for you which may allow us to see progress quicker.

Structured Routine: Your dog will settle into a steady daily rhythm — a thoughtful mix of training, enrichment, exercise, and restful downtime. This kind of structure isn’t just comforting; it’s essential for helping dogs absorb what they’re learning and stay emotionally balanced.

Enrichment & Exercise: Training isn’t just about commands — it’s about fulfilling your dog’s natural needs. That’s why every day on the farm includes time for both mental enrichment and physical movement, tailored to your dog’s energy level and personality.

Updates for You: You’ll stay connected with regular updates, photos, and videos via text and email — so you can watch your dog’s progress and celebrate every little victory along the way.

Home Transition Support: At the end of the program, we’ll come together for an in-home lesson to help you confidently carry your dog’s progress into everyday life. For stays 7-Days or longer, you’ll also receive a follow-up lesson and ongoing email support to keep the momentum going strong.

Client Testimonial

“We sent our dog, Hoagie, for a 2 week board and train with Alana and not only did he come back with a new level of understanding expectations/guidelines but we were able to accept him with a new level of understanding him. We were kept in the loop through his entire training process, and practiced the culmination of these things during his “Welcome Home” lesson. He came home prepared to learn and grow with us, and we felt more than prepared to do the same. Alana is a kind, caring, and trustworthy dog trainer who listens to her clients and connects with them on a deeper level. She spent plenty of time getting to know our boy, but getting to know us too. She was extremely professional while still personalizing our experience, and we cant recommend her enough. The individualized attention, and love she showed Hoagie is priceless. We cannot wait for our follow up lesson, and to continue to fine tune the tools we have (and hopefully add more to our toolkit!)”
